The Prescott Elks Theatre – Performing Arts Center will host a memorial night of blues music on the third floor in Crystal Hall, 117 E Gurley St, Prescott, AZ. The event, featuring two incredible bands, will be MCed by Sanford Cohen of Badass Blues Radio.

The evening will kick off with Chicago Bob and The Blues Squad, known for their traditional harmonica-based, post-World War II blues sound. The band, featuring Peter O’Reilly and Bob Tencer on guitar, Chicago Bob on harmonica, Gordon Jennings on bass, and Carlos B. Jones on drums, will perform songs from their upcoming CD.

Following a brief intermission, the Dennis Herrera Band will bring a mix of Chicago and Texas style blues with a touch of West Coast flavor. The band includes Dennis Herrera on guitar and vocals, Carl Dahlgren on keys, Robert Church on drums, Anton Teschner on sax, and Roger Smith on bass. They will perform tracks from Herrera’s past three CDs and selections from his forthcoming 2024 release.

Tickets for the general admission event are priced at $27, which includes fees. Snacks, beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase, along with merchandise from the bands.
