The Phippen Museum proudly celebrates the 20th anniversary of its popular Miniature Masterpiece Show & Sale in 2024, a unique and successful Sale-by-Draw event that offers museum-quality fine art from more than 70 of the biggest names in the world of American Western Art.

A special reception for this outstanding exhibition is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Friday, May 3, with museum members admitted free and guests for $20 each. Featuring tasty appetizers from Premier Catering and a cash bar, this fun-filled gathering will also provide a perfect opportunity for some of the talented participating artists to meet attendees, answer questions, and share their artwork, a news release stated.

This year’s fine artists include Edward Aldrich, Steve Atkinson, Tracy Avant, Heather Johnson Beary, Phil Beck, Sherry Blanchard Stuart, Lynn Brown, Gary Byrd, Shawn Cameron, Sonja Caywood, Dane Chinnock, Karen Clarkson, Valerie Coe, Bill Cramer, Lisa Danielle, Rose Ann Day, Steve Devenyns, Lydia Dillon-Sutton, Mikel Donahue, David Dorsey, June Dudley, Joni Falk, Brent A. Flory, Gaylene Fortner, Linda Glover Gooch, Robert Goldman, Bud Heiss, Harper Henry, Doyle Hostetler, Russell Houston, Valeriy Kagounkin, Greg Kelsey, Susan Kliewer, Linda Loeschen, Cindy Long, Gretchen Lopez, Ronald W. The collection of available works will be on display at the Phippen and on their website at PhippenArtMuseum.org through June 2, creating convenient opportunities for serious art collectors to get a better look at this amazing exhibition of miniature artwork.

In addition, interested buyers can place an intent-to-purchase in person, or by calling the Museum at 928-778-1385 anytime between Tuesday, May 1, and the Sale by Draw at 11 a.m. Monday, May 27, when the winning bidders will be drawn.

Also scheduled in May is their 50th Anniversary Western Art Show & Sale on the beautiful Yavapai County Courthouse plaza. This popular Memorial Day weekend tradition is generously supported by the James Family Deep Well Ranch and features more than 95 western artists from across the nation displaying fine art in outdoor booths. Ancillary events will include two Quick Draw challenges with live art auctions, an Artist Award Ceremony, a Kid’s Korral Art Tent, a special Hometown Hoedown Dinner & Silent Auction, and Two-Lane Tales from the 66 Kids, a western history revue presented by Arizona historians at the historic Elks Theatre. Admission to the Phippen will be free all weekend long.
